Message From the Principal
 Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to a new Jackson Memorial High School. With a student population of just under 1800 students you will find a much more suitable environment for the students and staff. After several years of overcrowded conditions, JMHS is now at a more comfortable level. The hallways, stairways and corridors are more open and easily traveled and the students are able to move about the building with greater ease. We also now have moved to four lunch periods and have added five minutes to each lunch.
Our students have quickly settled into a routine tending to their classwork with a great many of our students also participating in extra-curricular activities. A combination of good academic skills along with involvement in school activities helps with overall school success.
I will ask the parents to become familiar with the school procedures by reviewing the "Jaguar Planner" that was given to your child the first day of school. It may be found on the school web page in a link on the left of the page.
Please stay involved in your child's education by becoming a partner with us and I look forward to meeting you at Back-To-School Night on September 23. Let's have a great year!
